I'm a marketing operations professional in Toronto. I build the systems behind marketing campaigns: the email, the automation, and the tracking that shows what's working.
I studied Sociology at Lagos State University. That was four years of asking why people behave the way they do when you put them in groups. I did not set out to work in marketing, but my first job after school was running social media for a real estate company, and it turned out to be the same question with a budget attached.
Six years later, four of them at Qwoted, I work across marketing operations, lifecycle email, and media outreach for the Media Success team. Qwoted connects a network of more than 10,000 reporters with experts who want to reach them, so a lot of my work is about figuring out what people need, when they need it, and how to build systems that respond to that. That means segmentation, behavioural workflows, campaign reporting, and plenty of experiments in between.
I also tend to build the things nobody assigned me to build. Internal tools, templates, and systems that stop a small team from having to do the same work manually every week.
What holds my attention most is what happens after launch. A campaign that runs once is fine. I would rather build the version that can run fifty more times without me touching it.
That curiosity is what took me back to school for a Business Analytics certificate at Lambton College, and it is also why I take on projects outside my full-time work. At 123 Finance, I built three email funnels from scratch for a small team that needed to be able to run everything themselves once I handed it over. I also volunteer with hEr VOLUTION, supporting their email marketing.
I am based in Toronto.
Based in Toronto. Most of my work lives in HubSpot, where I'm certified across several areas, including Marketing Hub Software, Revenue Operations, Reporting, and Email Marketing. I also hold a Post-Graduate Certificate in Business Analytics from Lambton College.
I also run Herlylife, my content brand on Instagram. I started it to make things people enjoy, and to learn how social media really works.
